Installations are delayed for the industry

Please note that connectivity installations could be subject to delay in the coming weeks and months. The biggest single reason for delays in this period is the Christmas/New Year shutdown – where all fibre carriers shut down their networks between the 2 nd December and the 5 th of January. Adding approximately 15 -20 working delays to any leased line orders in progress during that time. DSL /PSTN installations will still continue throughout this period , however Fluidata will be unable to process any order between the 24 th of December and the 5 th of January. It is at this time of year that we also need to consider the impact of extreme weather. Over the past three years the UK has experienced snow during the winter, which has resulted in engineers being unable to attend site and installs being delayed. Although we cannot predict the weather, we would recommend that our clients allow for an additional 2-4 weeks lead time during the winter months for any significant installations. With this is all in mind, we suggest that if you require any services before the New Year, you are best to speak to your Account Manager sooner rather than later.
