Declassified: Bandits conquer Thames Path Challenge

We did it! We really did it. On Saturday 12th September, Fluidata’s own Bandwidth Bandits completed the 50km Thames Path Challenge in aid of the charity Wings for Life. Beginning at Putney Bridge, the Bandits mustered up the required courage to defeat the very gruelling, albeit very scenic river walk in just over ten hours, averaging out at speeds of around 5km per hour. “It was a painful journey – both mentally and physically” remarked Bandits veteran Thomas Fantou: “Who would have thought that walking could be that hardcore!”

"My feet were so sore!"

Thomas’ words were echoed by fellow survivor Patrick Wood, who went on the record to state that he had “hugely underestimated the challenge” and that it was “even tougher than Tough Mudder”, which lest we forget, the Bandits had previously conquered in 2012 and then again in 2013.

Made up of 12 brave souls, the Bandits managed to raise well over £1,500 for Wings for Life, a charity dedicated to curing spinal cord injury and they plan to keep on raising more in the coming months.
