Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development person to join our London sales team. This role is pivotal in driving business growth with aspirations to significantly increase turnover by 2030. The role’s primary purpose is to win net new business (50% approx.) and to Cross sell the wider group products and services into existing customers (50% approx.).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, strong technical understanding to effectively liaise with the presales and technical services teams. Additionally, they will have a strong background in SASE, SD-WAN & Security and the ability to lead and coordinate complex Secure Networking managed service sales.
Role Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities in Secure Networking services (SASE, SD-WAN, Cyber). Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients to drive sales growth.
- Cross-Sell Client Engagement: Engage with existing clients to understand their requirements, provide tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Leverage AI to offer innovative and efficient solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Execute strategic sales plans for Secure Networking services, aligning with AGP sales target. Focus on new business acquisition and market expansion.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Identify opportunities and threats in the Secure Networking services sectors.
- Technical Liaison: Collaborate closely with the technical services team to understand and address client needs. Ensure seamless service delivery and leverage AI capabilities to enhance Secure Networking service offerings.
- Performance Monitoring: Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making.
- AI: Be comfortable in discussing Secure Networking with prospects, identifying opportunities for Secure Networking Services. Provide guidance on best practices and innovative solutions.
- Sales and Commercial Acumen: Work with the group commercial director to deliver the ability to sell the group Service Catalogue, services, and solutions effectively.
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in a business development role in a Secure Networking company
- Track record of demonstrable cross-selling abilities of wider portfolio products
- Strong understanding of Secure Networking sales to business clients of over 1,000 seats, or greater than £100m turnover organisations.
- Excellent time management and organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and win new Secure Networking services
- Technical understanding with the ability to liaise effectively with technical teams
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Salesforce for business development and lead management is preferable or another CRM
