Organic growth and acquisitions
In 2016, whilst part of the Rigby Group, Fluidata and mobility specialist One Point combined their services, creating FluidOne an end-to-end connectivity offering to make a significant impact upon the fixed and mobile connectivity UK marketplace. The combined services set us for rapid and continued growth, providing mid-range enterprises with a through the line solution to meet the challenge of transporting, protecting and maintaining data across multiple teams and locations.
In 2019 our management team gained backing for their long-term strategy to acquire the business from the Rigby Group and accelerate our vision. Backing for the MBO has come from Livingbridge, a market leading private equity investor which provides investment firepower to grow. We have continued to deliver strong organic growth in line with the strategic plan and by the end of 2020 the first expansion of our core product set came through the acquisition of PSU Business Technology Limited as well as a strategic investment in Cyber Security Associates (CSA). These complemented our connectivity and mobile solutions adding leading UCaaS, CCaaS and expert cyber security services to offer wider quality capability to our loyal customer base.
In December 2021, FluidOne acquired the SAS Group of Companies Limited and its subsidiary companies. As a high-quality provider of SD-WAN-enabled global hybrid networks and Fortinet partner, adding SAS’ strong experience to our portfolio provided a significant step on our journey. This acquisition increased our capability to provide market-leading solutions and choice in SD-WAN and hybrid networks. With the inclusion of a highly skilled Physical Infrastructure Department, our service offering to mid-market and enterprise customers is massively enhanced with physical installation teams available nationally; another step towards our vision to become the best quality provider of connected cloud solutions to UK businesses.
We broadened our connected cloud offering for enterprise with the acquisition of Microsoft Gold Partner for Cloud Services Management, Marathon Information Technology Services (Marathon) in May 2022. Specialist focus on cloud transformation, modern workplace, security and contact centre saw this team rebranded within the FluidOne Group as the Enterprise IT Centre of Excellence. This addition fortified our connected cloud portfolio with IT managed services delivered by well an established reputation for in-life service and technical expertise, sharing Group values in delivering high levels of customer service whilst fostering a strong, positive staff culture.

Regional IT MSPs
A key part of the FluidOne Group strategy is investing in regional IT MSPs to form a new Business IT Centre of Excellence (CoE).

FluidOne acquired Highlander Computing Solutions Ltd (Highlander) in 2023 and established the foundations of this strategy. Headquartered in Sheffield, Business IT delivers leading enterprise IT infrastructure and SME IT managed services, with expertise that perfectly complements cloud transformation, modern workplace, security and contact centre services for the mid-market and enterprise customers.
Once the foundation had been set with Business IT, Surrey based IT managed services provider projectfive were acquired to deliver outsourced IT services to small and medium sized business, in Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire. Complementing this, to complete 2023, Brighton based IT managed service provider Computer & Network Consultants Ltd (CNC) expands the FluidOne network of expertly delivered IT managed services to business customers within Sussex.
It is through our careful due diligence and planning that each acquisition and investment retain a strong culture with motivated staff delivering great service. Our continued progress is excellent news for customers as we continue to enhance our capabilities to provide quality managed services and support our customers meet their goals.

With cyber security a vital part of the FluidOne strategy, in a strategic move to sharpen the company's focus on its foundational governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software offerings, March 2024 saw the FluidOne Group announce that our cyber centre of excellence, CSA Cyber, acquired UK based SureCloud Cyber Services with expertise in CREST, NCSC CHECK certified penetration testing, specialist cyber risk consulting and beyond.
With over 60% of medium and large UK businesses reporting a cyber breach in the past 12 months, the acquisition perfectly complements our existing offering, bringing in-house penetration testing and incident response skills. An expert team consult and support enterprise, public sector and international businesses, enabling CSA to enhance existing services and provide customers with a more comprehensive range of cyber security solutions against the ever-growing cyber threat.
