Posted on 24th February 2015, 7:27 pm
As of 16:29 today the Bloomsbury exchange experienced a power failure that caused a total loss of service for all customers connected to the exchange.
Power has now been restored to the site, however TalkTalk network equipment located at the exchange remains impacted and a field engineer has been tasked to site to resolve the issue.
Service is expected to be restored in the next 2 hours and an update will be issued in due course. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

At 21:59, TalkTalk issued a closure statement with the following detail regarding the resolution: “BT Power observed a DC deferred power alarm and, although this cleared, the TalkTalk kit remained down. BT Power tasked a field engineer to attend site to investigate further. The engineer identified that the DC breaker which feeds the TalkTalk switch had tripped. Unsuccessful attempts were made to reconnect this. A Talk Talk field engineer was tasked to attend site and found that the A-feed was disconnected from the breaker and although the B-feed was connected, this was powered down. The issue was resolved when the engineer re-connected the A-feed and also powered up the B-feed.”
