Role overview

The Commercial Product Manager will be responsible for developing and testing new product initiatives from concept through to launch that deliver a commercial benefit. This includes market research, pricing, go-to-market strategy and sales campaigns.


Specifications

  • Product Creation

  • Working with the sales teams, customers and technical to design and create products that meet their demands

  • Work with suppliers to deliver the product

  • Work with Service Delivery, Finance and Support teams to ensure process and policies exist for delivering and supporting new services

  • Ensure current systems and infrastructure are capable of delivery and support of product

  • Actively generate and implement ideas to impact on performance and drive any product development Product Review

  • Reviewing with customer and departments within the business on product performance

  • Improving process to ensure execution is optimum

  • Monitor performance of products

  • Product Promotion

  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

  • Support the creation of product propositions, product specific marketing materials and translating product management documentation into content for consumption across marketing and sales team

  • Work with the marketing team to develop the strategy and marketing programs that will drive demand for your products then subsequently measure the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns

  • Arrange training and support the Sales team with product understanding and knowledge


Experience / Qualifications

  • Experience supporting in the creation, implementation and delivery of product

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstration of working to challenging deadlines and delivering

  • Knowledge and experience with product launch and promotion

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Educated to a graduate level or equivalent, ideally in a business or technology related subject

  • Understanding of systems level engineering of voice or network technology products

  • Commercial development of initial proposals and production/maintenance of business cases and profit-and-loss account

  • Experience creating customer-facing documentation, meetings and assisting sales teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in an environment with tight deadlines
